To ensure success, we recommend building a comprehensive IT plan that aligns with the organization's business strategy. WaveTwo has had extensive experience in developing such plans. We have created a methodology to jointly work with clients to create a strategically-aligned IT plan, as well as the tasks and activities required to carry it out.
We begin each managed service assignment by completing an “IT Diagnostic of Current Systems Infrastructure”.
The goal of the IT audit is to answer 3 key questions:
- What do you have?
- What are the issues?
- What needs to be fixed?
To answer these, an initial audit of all technology, software and licenses will be undertaken to understand the current situation. Within the IT audit, consideration will be given to identifying fixed IT assets, such as:
- Software
- Hardware
- Serial numbers
- Software versions and patch levels
- Network Topography
- Firewall capabilities and documentation
Finally issues are identified, and when confirmed by the client, an IT support plan is created. We also create a new support plan, focused upon identifying and deploying required hardware, software, systems, networks, data, and personnel to meet the client’s business needs.
